This bag arrived well sealed and the rice inside was in good shape. The whole bag is just a smidge over 2 cups, which I cooked in our rice cooker to go with our stir fry. My family ordinarily eat Thai Jasmine rice in this household so they are sometimes weary of the new rices that I introduce them to through Vine. This rice, despite the finished light purple color, had a normal rice flavor that everybody in the household could get behind. It really does have a lovely color and I think adds a nice touch color-wise wherever it could be used. Plain it is not as naturally flavorful as Jasmine rice or Basmati. It is somewhat plain. I think this rice could benefit from dishes where it gets some seasoning.

This organic pink flamingo rice is kinda fun to look at and super tasty too. It’s got a pretty light pink color when you cook it up, which makes dinner feel a little fancier without trying. The texture is nice and chewy, not mushy. I used it like regular rice. Good with stir fry, chicken, or just some butter and salt. It’s also organic, so that made me feel like I was eating something better for me and conveyed a nicer value in my opinion. Cooks just like regular rice, nothing tricky. Tastes a little nutty, in a good way.
