Good product, it just arrived melted

I ordered two, the first one was fine, but i went to open the second own and it came all dissolved… and not even i a good way it looks like dirt made it’s way inside the package somehow

Wasn't really sure what to expect with this but I was excited to try it.Well first off it was completely melted and just one giant piece. Not sure if that effects the taste or integrity of the gumBut the tastes Wasn't what I expected and it's super hard to chew like it's supper sticky very hard to move around my mouth or get off my teeth..

I have ordered this several times and had consistent product I liked. Today it arrived almost like a flat, deflated, solid-sheet of sticky tack. I think the package broke or something, but I’m not going to chew this. Guess it doesn’t let me return or report an issue either, so I’m leaving a comment. Hope you guys can make this right for me, thanks!

Smaller than thought, texture similar to plastic, but not 100% on if its texture is right bc it'sfirst one I've tried.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The taste is pleasant enough, earthy and natural. The texture is like rock and no matter how long I try to chew it to turn into gum, it just splinters. I get scared I'll choke, so I spit it out. I have tried three times and I just can't get use to it.

Picture is NOT indicative of product received. There were no "tears", just powder and crumbles. And the bag in the photo contains a quantity much much greater than 25 grams. But the resin compares favorably with others I have tried.

Iv'e ordered this product before and it's a hit or miss. Sometimes you get better quality batches, sometimes worse. Luckily, the most recent batch I ordered was great quality. It's tasteless, wonderful for the stomach because of its properties, and it offers lots of resistance for those who want to train their jaw muscles. Yes, it expensive for a small quantity of grams but that's standard because mastic gum is very scarce and only grows in one part of the world (a small island in Greece). I've bought many other brands on amazon and they were all poor quality, this was the best. This is a legit review, I am not being paid to say this! Also, I ordered it on prime and the shipping took almost 4 days.

Arrived in the condition where it melted and hardened into one piece. Thought it would still be OK, boy was I wrong. If you don’t mind picking strands of this out of your teeth for the next few hours, then this is the product for you. Got it because I was told it helped with heartburn, can’t speak on that. But it did distract me from the fact that I had it for a while.

If you’re using this for the purpose of strengthening your jaw muscles go for it. However, if you’re buying this for the taste think again because it’s nowhere near enjoyable.

This was my first time trying mastic, and it’s definitely unique. The texture starts off a bit hard but softens as you chew, turning into a gum-like consistency.The flavor is subtle and slightly pine-like—not your typical gum, but refreshing in its own way.It lasts a long time compared to regular gum, which I liked.Not for everyone taste-wise, but if you’re curious or already enjoy natural products, it’s worth trying.

For all the poor confused reviewers here - Mastika is NOT meant to be chewed like gum! In fact, it will harm dental work. The whole idea of using it as chewing gum is a horrible marketing ploy and actually has depleted mastika harvests, which are primarily in Greece, and has raised the price for those of us who use mastika as it is intended - for BAKING and COOKING. Anyone believing that hardened tree sap would make a great alternative to chewing gum should think twice about even the very logic of doing so. I happen to love this product, and our family has used it to bake our holiday Greek Koulouria cookies for years. For those interested in baking, you take the mastika chunks, place them between wax or parchment paper, and gently pulverize them with a rubber mallet, making it into a fine powder, which is then added to the bread or cookies or other recipes.

Mixed bag, literally. The hard brittle tears are good but the squishy ones are totally unsuitable for chewing: they will stick to your teeth. I suspect these have a higher oil content, because they taste great despite being horrifically messy - much more flavor than the hard ones.Use the squishy ones for cooking or incense, dont try chewing them. Unfortunately theyre like half the package thus 3 stars. Would be better if these were sorted and sold as a different product.

Used it consistently for three months, or around there when I had ordered it. Honestly the gun has helped train my masseter muscle. But the only problem I have with it is the gun it self gets stuck to the teeth and it quit hard to get out. I would recommend letting the gum soften, maybe on the inside of your cheek for a few seconds in order to prevent the gun from getting stuck on your teeth.

I recently purchased MasticGum and found it to have a very good texture. It can be chewed continuously for approximately 5 hours and 25 minutes before it begins to dissolve and turn mushy. Once it reaches that point, the gum starts to break down into smaller pieces and becomes unchewable.One thing to note is that at around the 2-hour and 15-minute mark, I found it necessary to take a break due to a sharp, piney flavor. Although it starts out mild, the intensity gradually builds up until, by the 2-hour point, it’s so pronounced that it feels almost like a slight chemical burn. However, after a 30-minute rest, I was able to resume chewing the same piece without any lingering discomfort.Unfortunately, Masticgum does not provide a full 8 hours of chewing as I initially expected. Still, it outperforms Arbic gum, a common ingredient in many types of xylito gum, in terms of texture and longevity. Arbic gum typically doesn’t last beyond 2 hours of continuous chewing. By that time, enzymes in the mouth begin to break it down, leading to a mushy consistency, essentially dissolves into a watery state.Masticgum on the other hand, maintains a solid, proper gum texture for much longer, easily twice as long as Arbic gum. While Arbic gum is far too soft to provide a satisfying chewing experience beyond a couple of hours, Masticgum remains firm and enjoyable for several hours.One potential downside is that while chewing, tiny fragments of the gum continuously break off. These small pieces are unchewable and inevitably end up being swallowed. This might not be a bad thing, though, as it reportedly has medicinal benefits when ingested. It could actually have positive effects on your digestive system.Overall, I recommend it. It won’t last an entire day of chewing, but it’s significantly better than Alibaba gum, provides a solid texture, and may offer some health benefits along the way.

I use mastic gum for violin varnishes and I chew it for its flavor and benefits to my stomach. I've used other brands with great success and decided to try this brand, but was very disappointed.For varnishes, I dissolve it in alcohol and allow the impurities to settle out of solution before pouring off the clear and pure solution to blend into varnish. This brand contains nearly 4x the amount of impurities as other brands, leaving a significant layer of slimy and discolored waste at the bottom. It also seems poorly refined, as the varnish I made using this brand kept a soft, almost rubbery feel after being fully cured, when other brands do not. It didn't ruin the finish, but it will require a harder finish over top of it. The raw tears are much softer than other brands and I should have considered this a red flag.For chewing, this brands flavor is off as well. It has a bitterness that's not present in other brands and it has a much more soft and sticky consistency, making it unpleasant to chew. Couple that with the visible impurities like dark colored debris and discolored tears, and I have no desire to chew it.I would definitely reccomend that the manufacturer either lower its price, or incorporate a better refinement method/find a better source. There are much better brands for the same price. I'll be sticking with the stuff in the brown pouch from now on.

tldr; SOME of the pieces are very soft, gooey and too sticky to chew without getting stuck in your teeth. You have to press a few hard pieces into a soft piece to create a balanced gum that you can chew easily with zero sticking in your teeth.I hated it at first, now I REALLY like it. I had GERD and tested positive for h.pylori a few years ago. The triple coctail of antibiotics only made it worse. Stomach acid reducers provided only temporary relief. Then, I used mastic gum capsules by Jarrow Formulas and various brands of probiotics to treat my stomach issues as a last resort, and it worked amazingly well. Recently, my stomach has been more acidic than normal, probably due to stress. I searched for mastic gum capsules by Jarrow Formulas but couldn't find it on amazon or anywhere. So I bought this product a month ago. It arrived on time, and the quality is very good (I am from Turkey so I am familiar with mastic gum). The scent and color are on point. I smash this product, turn it into coarse dust, mix 1/8 teaspoons of it in the water and drink it in the morning on empty stomach (I am sort of imitating the dosage and form of the mastic gum capsules by Jarrow Formulas but it is even better because I freshly grind them). I started seeing results after a few days of using it. I have been using it for a month now and my stomach is healthy again, acid problems are gone. I still want to use it for another month (because this is what I did in the past with Jarrow Formulas and it had worked so well) so I am ordering it again today. I hope this comment finds you and helps you with your stomach problems. As a side note, I ditched probiotic capsules and switched to kefir, which is a yogurt drink that contains live probiotic cultures. It is way better, in my experience so far. As a second side note, don't be fooled by the negative reviews. As far as I read them, they just did not know how to use the product. This product is not a regular gum, some pieces are hard to chew and other are too sticky because that is what mastic gum is! Just so you know if you decide to chew it. In conclusion, this product helped me so well. I hope it does to you, too.
